What is a break

For example, let’s say we have a $320 hockey cards box with a potential of 32 NHL teams inside. For this fictional Break, let’s also say we have 32 spots at $10 each.
Once the 32 spots are sold out, we use random.org to randomly determine which team will be allocated to which spot. After the randomization of the teams, we are ready to “break” which means open the box and see which cards are inside.

The breaker (the person who is “breaking the box”) opens all the packs in the box through live-streaming on Facebook. Every “hit card” goes to the purchaser of the team shown on each card. What is a “hit card”? A “hit” refers to any higher-valued cards (autograph, relic, insert, rookie, etc.).

HOW IT WORKS?

Browse our Breaks and click on the one you would like to participate.

Once you land on the selected product page, you will be able to see the number of spots available, as well as the price for each spot.

The number of spots available for each Break is equal to the number of teams available in the boxes of trading cards that are included in the Break.

You can buy as many spots as you want!

The Break will close if the following happen:

  • When all spots have been purchased
When this happens, see step #4.
  • Or, when the Break time limit has expired.
If all the spots were not purchased before the time limit, the Break will be canceled and everyone who bought a spot will be refunded.

Once all spots are sold out, we use random.org to randomly determine which team will be allocated to which spot. Everyone who bought a Break spot will receive the results by email.

Once the teams have been allocated to the spot numbers, we are ready to live stream the opening of the trading cards boxes included in the Break. To watch the live stream, visit our Facebook Group.

For example, if you purchased spot #7 and spot #20, and Montreal Canadiens team was allocated to spot #7 and Chicago Blackhawks was allocated to spot #20, all “hit cards” pulled from the box with the players shown in a Montreal Canadiens jersey or a Chicago Blackhawks jersey are yours.
