What is a break
For example, let’s say we have a $320 hockey cards box with a potential of 32 NHL teams inside. For this fictional Break, let’s also say we have 32 spots at $10 each.
Once the 32 spots are sold out, we use random.org to randomly determine which team will be allocated to which spot. After the randomization of the teams, we are ready to “break” which means open the box and see which cards are inside.
The breaker (the person who is “breaking the box”) opens all the packs in the box through live-streaming on Facebook. Every “hit card” goes to the purchaser of the team shown on each card. What is a “hit card”? A “hit” refers to any higher-valued cards (autograph, relic, insert, rookie, etc.).
